I think it's no secret that all of us in the Transgender Community
have had some trouble shopping for the things that we need to
present ourselves the way in which we feel we really are. Shopping
in malls and stores can be so nerve racking and you never get a
chance to trying anything on, you're just worried about whether or
not someone is looking at you funny or what they might be
thinking. Then you just grab something a get the hell out of there
hoping it fit. If you're anything like I was, if it didn't fit you aren't
going to take it back because you're just too embarrassed to go
back so you end wasting the money. So I started to look for
stores online that carried the products and items I was looking for.
Now when I say they're Transgender friendly I mean they are very
respectful and willing to help you with your shopping needs.
I'm starting to get a good collection of link, so much so that I
could start my own mall. Well That is exactly what I did! I have
created The New Girl's Mall. I wanted to put together a place
where you could shop for quality products that fit the specific
needs of the Transgender Community, from the privacy of your
own home. You'll find everything you need from Breastforms,
Shoes, Make-up, and of course Clothes. You will also find great
stores that welcome anyone from the GLBT Community. Some of
these stores even promote their own diverse employment program
which can allow an employee the freedom and support they need
while going through their transition. These stores need our
support so please shop around The New Girls Mall.
I've also put together a list of Support Groups & Organizations
for those of you looking for more links to the Transgender
Community. Some of these links gives you access to general
information and some are links to local groups for different areas
around the country.
Trying to keep up with links isn't an easy task for one person.
Unfortunately, some of these groups don't get the support they
need to stay running and the links may no longer work. If you do
run across one of these links, please let me know and I'll take care
of it.
On the other hand, if you know of a group or organization that
isn't on the list, please let me know about them and I'll be happy
to add them to the list!
