So, I set aside this area originally for my favorite poetry, but there's also some quotes that reallu mean a lot to me. Some are funny, some are serious, and some are just there to make you think but I love them all.

I hope you like 'em. Happy reading!

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

"Begin doing what you want to do now.  We are not living in
eternity.  We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our
hand, and melting like a snowflake."

                      Sir Francis Bacon

"We are the Music Makers, and We are the Dreamers of the
Dreams."

                        Willy Wonka

"One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying."

Joan of Arc

Can you relate?

Waking up and putting on something you don't want to.

Looking in the mirror and seeing something that just isn't quite right.

Going to work and having to act like someone you're not.

Talking to people you probably might not normally talk to or associate with.

Laughing at jokes you really don't think are that funny.

Feeling like you're not able to relate to the people you really should be relating to.

Talking with people and not being able to really express how you feel about something.

Feeling like you must constantly be on your guard and not let anyone get to close.

Feeling like no one would understand you if you expressed how you really feel about things, including your family.

Feeling like you're trapped living in one world while you're praying for a chance to truly live.

While you were reading this list, if you've either felt the same way at some point in your life or were able to relate to any of these statements, then we have something in common. We might not be so different. We could even possibly be friends.

Would it be that bad to now know that I'm a Transgender woman?
All of the emotions and feelings you just read are all felt everyday by a Transgender individual, like me.

Hopefully next time you meet a Transgender person, you'll remember the things we have in common and decide not to hate us so much and try to understand us just a little more.
